Development of China bamboo flooring Chinese bamboo flooring manufacturers are mainly located in Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Fujian, Shanghai, Guangdong, Hunan, Jiangxi and Anhui, among which Zhejiang province takes the leading place, bamboo flooring manufacturers here account for around 50% of the totals in China. In recent two years, bamboo flooring’s output keeps a steady growth at the rate of 30% annually. In 2006 bamboo flooring output was 25 million m2, which increased by 35.14% compared with that in 2005. 2001-2006 Bamboo flooring output in China Unit: 10 thousand m2 Chinese bamboo flooring mainly goes to North America and Europe, at the same time also is exported to Russia and Southeast Asia. In 2005 the total export volume was 6.57 million m2, among which 4.27 million m2 was exported to USA, 1.38 million m2 to Europe, 920,000 m2 to other countries.
