Symposium of national key enterprises in timber industry

In recent year, timber-processing industry in our country develops at an extraordinary speed. Timber trade is also quite brisk. This situation plays an active part in fulfilling national economic construction and people's living demands and advancing the development of forestry. However, in general, the overall quality of timber industry is at a fairly low level. Problems like poor economic order in the market, resources badly wasted, enterprises quality and benefits low and macroscopic regulate and control ability being weak, are quite protrusive. In order to protect and reasonably utilize forest reserves according to law, develop timber industry into a normal, orderly and healthy condition and strengthen the international competitive ability of timber industry after our joining WTO, state council once again granted state bureau of forestry the administrative rights in timber industry in 2001. National timber industry administrative office was thus established.

With the purpose of better planning and managing timber industry and enhancing service level, also responding to the call of China Wood International Corporation, National timber industry administrative office decides to hold Symposium of national key enterprises in timber industry (International conference for national timber import and export trade is in the process) in Beijing Oriental Garden Hotel in the morning of March, 12. This symposium aims at hearing key enterprises' opinions and suggestions to the development and management of timber industry. Thus, a blueprint for timber industry can be drawn.
