organized this conference. This is the first successful international conference that is completely planned and arranged by private enterprises under the market principle.

IWPA (America) has sent delegates to attend this conference. Thomas E. Wilson, president of IWPA and Jim Ballin, president of American plywood committee, delivered brilliant speeches about North American wood product market. Their speeches covered major concerns such as wood product purchasing standard for North American imported plywood, veneer, wooden doors and windows and furniture, analysis of market competition, major circulating channels and marketing promotion modes.

Representatives from embassies of major countries in China also participated the conference. They gave speeches on bilateral trade and investment cooperation.

Delegates of overseas companies in Tennessee and North Carolina of America made special trip to the conference and they held trade talks with Chinese companies.

At the conference, leader of National timber industry administrative office released important policy trends.

Proposed and arranged by our company's president Li Hongfan, a most significant dialogue was held between government and enterprises, especially between private enterprises during the conference. This talk, under the title of symposium of national key enterprises in timber industry, is the first such one in recent three years.
