Had meeting with the people of IKEA, which is a purchase center for IKEA in Harbin city.
 
Had meeting with the officials of the Forest Industrial General Bureau of Heilongjiang Province, through the meeting, we learned that there are eight big forest projects between Russia and the forest bureau of Heilongjiang. From them we also know that in Chinese market 240 millions cubic meters are in demand per year at present, but domestic forest resource can supply 167 million cubic meters. So the shortage in demand is very big. The rest is mainly dependent on import timber.
In addition, there are two primary reasons for the increasing volume of timber in China:
First, the domestic demand is increasing continuously
Secondly, since 1999, the custom tax for logs and lumbers is cut off to zero, so there space for profit is very big.
 
Besides the wood trade business, the Forest Industrial General Bureau of Heilongjiang also expands their business into non-timber product industry.

Attended China Harbin Economic and Trade Fair which is one of the largest regional

fairs approved by the State Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic cooperation.
On the trade fair, we met with many forestry bureau in northeast China and wood companies all over China, also we met with official of Hebei Forestry Bureau which is under the control of the Forest Industrial General Bureau of Heilongjiang Province and has done many cooperation with Russian side.
