Timm Locke has more than 20 years of experience in wood products marketing and association management, which includes a five year stint as product publicity manager for the Western Wood Products Association and culminates with his current position as the lead staff executive for NOFMA. Headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., NOFMA is the only organization specifically dedicated to representing the interests of North American wood flooring manufacturers and the distributors and allied product suppliers they work with. NOFMA provides product certification, mill inspection services, marketing support, advocacy and information services. NOFMA is the only organization to write and enforce grading and milling standards for flooring made from all the major domestic hardwood species. Timm¡¯s Association experience also includes multiple years with the American Diabetes Association and the National Asphalt Pavement Association. Outside of his position leading NOFMA, Timm also owns and operates a small marketing communications firm in Portland, Ore., with a focus on building products.

  For nearly half a century, NOFMA has been setting the standard for wood flooring manufacturers. Established in 1909 and headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee, NOFMA is the only organization to write and enforce quality standards and grading rules for solid and engineered wood flooring products. Today, those standards continue to be the industry measurement for wood flooring manufacturers.
In addition to setting and enforcing those standards, NOFMA is the voice and leader for the wood flooring manufacturing industry, providing product marketing support, technical support, manufacturing and installation education, promotional and technical literature, information services and advocacy for the wood flooring manufacturers industry.
