Nowadays, China is essential to the world trade of forest products, for China's total annual import timber accounted for 30% of the total demand, and almost 50% of wood products export to international markets. Therefore China plays an important role in the global forest products sustainable development.

Promoting sustainable development should be enhanced as an important mean to improve the core competitive power for Chinese wood products enterprises. Only China's forest products industry initiative take and insist on the responsibility for sustainable development, we can integrate into the international arena of market competition better.

For this, China Wood International and China's timber conservation Development Center launch "China Alliance of Sustainable Corporations" (CASC), and it will provide series service activities for alliance members.
