Swedish company Bona is setting up an industrial coatings manufacturing plant in Dalian, covering an area of 2,000 sq m and includes a production floor warehouse. A technical center facilitating the testing and development of customers systems is also incorporated. The plant is scheduled to commence operations in early 2007. According to Mr Jon Loi, General Manager, responsible for the new production facility and market in China, the business have expanded over the last few years in Asia and China and the new technical centre would provide a good base in providing improved logistics and faster response times. The combined functions of the production facility, technical centre, R&D, sales & marketing and technical support would also serve the Asian market to a great extent. Mr Loi also wished to move ahead with Bona Lifetime Support in the Chinese market where there is a great need for good floor care and after-treatment products and services.
