Legend Capital, a subsidiary of Legend Holdings Ltd., invested USD20m in Shanghai New Sihe Wood Co., Ltd., a famous engineered flooring manufacturer, which demonstrates the thick interest of Legend Capital in domestic decoration materials industry.

Founded in 2001, New Sihe Wood is “a leading Chinese manufacturer specialized in 3-layer & multi-layer engineered wood flooring, and solid bamboo flooring” with headquarters and production base both located in Jiading District, Shanghai. The company also has established branches in Belgium and the US targeted for European and North American markets. According to Gu Mo, the board chairman, the company will lay emphasis on the supply and storage of timber resources, including the possible establishment of primary production bases in countries abundant in forest resources like Russia. In addition, the company also is planning to be listed through the issuance of A-shares in 2009 in China.
