To optimize the composition of export commodities, promote the upgrade and transference of processing and trade, the Ministry of Commerce announced the 2008 catalog of forbidden items for manufacture and trade in Apr. 5th 2008. The catalog listed 1816 the ten HS coded commodities as the forbidden items for processing and trade, which included timber, lumber, veneer, wood product, and strain-sensitive wood veneer for furniture veneering, other veneer for furniture veneering etc.
