In August, woodbased panel industry was still sluggish. Price of MDF with the thickness of 2.5cm was RMB14/sheet. The market demand for thick board rebounded in this months, and prices increased small growth rate of RMB 1-2/sheet. The decrease of tax refunds to furniture exports in last year results in low market potential of thick board, many companies reduced the production of thick board and investment in thick board industry. This situation led the rise of thick board price in this month.

Market situation of particleboard and plywood was stable.
