According to Chinese Xingye timber market, the market of some common species like Mahogany, Keruing and Makore went steadily, but the prices of African wenge and padauk which were very popular decreased due to the shrink of demand and the drop of oil price. It is reported that the price for 5cm*2m wenge (no knot) is 15,000-17,000 RMB/m3, and the price of 5cm*nature width padauk is 4400 RMB/m3.
