Next to oil, timber industry is the second-biggest industry in Congo Rep., which was badly affected by the global crisis recently. Henri Djombo, the administrator of Congo Administration for Forestry and Environment, expressed that the demand for Congos timber was sluggish in the past eight months due to the global financial crisis. In 2006, the annual turnover of Congos timber exports was $ 0.397 billion, and its exports market mainly includes Europe, America and Aisa. However, the total of last year and this year greatly decreased by nearly 9%.
