While sources from the industry are still describing the current market situation for multi-layer parquet as very tense, several Central and Northern European companies are claiming that they are not affected by this downhill trend. A variety of companies reported that their respective sales and revenues had almost been on par or even slightly above last year’s level in the January to April period. The companies said this development was owing to their having gained market share or to their specific product ranges in the field of niche products. However market players believed that the relatively high number of corporate booms was contradictory to the general assessment of the market.
