From the forestry sector in Heilongjiang Province, Daxinganling ’s final cutting is planed to stop as soon as possible.
This plan is divided into two steps, the first step for the 2010 -2015, and second for the years 2016 - 2020. After implementation, the Daxinganling ecological function area will be a full cessation of final cutting and production, while strengthening forestation, tending of young forests, enhancing the restoration and protection of wetlands and grasslands to gradually build the forest management system.
